Hermanos de la Calle (HDLC) is a grassroots nonprofit organization founded in Miami ten years ago. What began as a small group of families offering warm meals and conversations to homeless individuals in downtown Miami and Overtown has evolved into a robust organization. With love and compassion HDLC serves hundreds of homeless individuals today, connecting them with resources across Miami to help them rebuild their lives. From family reunification and shelter to housing opportunities and treatment programs, HDLC is a guiding hand for Miami’s homeless community.

• Hearts for Life program supporting pregnant women in need and our Hearts for Life Helpline assisting callers by connecting them to appropriate social services.

• We have housed 7 pregnant mothers. 4 beautiful babies, all are healthy and safe.

• Mater Dei Home has room for 10 mothers and their babies, with shared rooms. Hearts for Life plans to expand capacity in 2025.

• Our goal for 2025 is to help 20 mothers, each with a personalized path to independence. We aim to provide $5,000 per mother to support their transition to a stable and self-sufficient life.
